No One Can Prevent You From Thinking about god

A little girl was playing with her toys. Her mother came into her
bedroom and said, "It is high time for you to come and eat. Stop
playing with your toys at once!"

The little girl did not pay any attention to her mother. She
continued playing and playing. So the mother became angry. She took
away all the toys and put the child straight to bed, saying, "You
never listen to me! You are so disobedient. Today I shall punish you.
I will not give you anything to eat."

Strangely enough, the little girl was not crying at all. She said to
her mother, "Do not give me any food then. I do not have to eat." In
silence the mother left the room.

When the father came home from work, he started looking for his
daughter. "Where has the child gone?" he asked his wife.

"She is in bed," said the mother.

"What happened?" the father asked.

"Our daughter is so naughty. She has become so disobedient. I
repeatedly asked her to come and eat, come and eat. She would not
listen to me. So I took away all her toys and put her to bed without
giving her any food. In this way, she will become very hungry and she
will learn to come and eat when I call her. I am teaching her
obedience."

The little girl was lying in bed. Her father entered the room and
asked sympathetically, "What has happened? What has happened?

She replied, "Nothing has happened. I am still thinking what I was
thinking."

"What do you mean you are thinking what you were thinking?" asked the
father.
The little girl started to reply, "I am thinking!" but her father
interrupted.

"You do not have to eat?"

"No," she said, "I do not have to eat."

"Then you do not feel sad that all your toys were removed?"

"No, I do not feel sad," she replied.

"Why?" he asked curiously.

"Because I am still thinking the same thing," explained the little
girl. "Whatever I was thinking before, I am now thinking. And this
thought is giving me so much joy. Mother can prevent me from eating.
She can prevent me from playing, but she cannot prevent me from
thinking."

"What are you thinking?" asked her father, at last.
"I am thinking that some day I will be God's most favourite child. I
will become a good child and then I will be God's favourite. That
thought my mother cannot take away from me."

Her father was so deeply moved. He said, "Today you have taught me
something. From you I have learnt the Message of God."

At that moment the mother entered the room. When the father told her
what their daughter was thinking, she embraced the child. Both the
parents said to their daughter, "Do not stop thinking this precious
thought. We shall follow you. What you are thinking, we shall also
try to think. You have taught us what to think of in life."

2 )finna fallegt husnæði á fyrstu hæð 10(fann ekki flyt aftur í sama)

5 )kung fu fyrir soninn með innifalinni hugleiðslu förum saman i það 10 fyrir hann 8 mig

6)hætta að reykja/tungurótar töflur og dropana :) 10 (hætt)

8 )matreiðslunámskeið sollu 8

9 )finna mér tima á hverjum degi til að hugleiða 10 (náði ekki að hugleiða daglega bara fyrstu 3 mánuðina svo óreglulega)

jammm núna er ég að fara flytja á stað sem er ekkert net ég fæ smá hroll við tilhugsunina en samt ánægð á þann hátt að ég vil ekki eyða svona miklum tíma  í tölvu eins og ég hef gert .allt í lagi að kikja í tölvuna 1 til 3 svar sinnum í viku .'Eg hef löngun í að eyða tímanum í eitthvað viturlegra eins og hugleiða meira, hreyfa mig meira,teikna,mála,lesa,taka myndir,bara skapa mér gott og fallegt líf .'Eg geri mér grein fyrir því að það er bara ég sem get skapað mér gott líf .'Eg get ekki beðið eftir að það breytist ef ég geri ekkert sjálf.'Eg þurfti svoldið langan tíma til að fatta það ég beið alltaf eftir að verða hamingjusöm án þess að gera neitt í því. ekkert gasalega sniðugt.

 

Þannig núna er ég að fara í fína íbúð þar sem ég mun búa með syni mínum. það er í fyrsta skipti sem ég bý í íbúð án  fullorðins karlmanns það verður skrýtið en það er það sem ég vil þannig mig hlakkar bara til að byrja nýtt líf og ég vona að 2008 verði mitt besta

Sumum reynist erfitt að finna sannleikann

Merkilegt hvað (trúleysingjar )þeir sem trúa ekki á æðri mátt sem ég þekki eru duglegir að kenna trúarbrögðunum um grimmd mannanna.Hvað er það sem trúarbrögðin eru að gera annað en að hjálpa fólki að finna sannleikann?.Aftur á móti eru það mennirnir sem eru ekki heilir og nota oft trúarbrögðin sem afsökun fyrir þeirra illsku .

'Eg skil það vel að  fólk sem hefur átt erfitt líf verði reitt út í lífið eða við æðri mátt og vilja kenna honum um þeirra vanlíðan . Svo hætta þeir að trúa á æðri mátt af því þeir sjá ekki að í gegnum erfiðleikana kemur þroski og betra líf .En þeir höfðu val ,annað´hvort að vera reiðir einstaklingar eða sætta sig við lífið eins og það er.það er kannski erfiðara að sætta sig við lífið eins og það er ,auðveldara að vera bara reiður. En hinn kosturinn er betri að sætta sig við lífið :).Svo þannig með tímanum hætta þeir að trúa á æðri mátt því þeir álíta hann slæmann ef hann væri í raun og veru til og það gengur ekki að trúa því .þannig trúleysi er þá skárra.Af því þeir telja  að þeir hafi aldrei fengið hjálp frá honum (æðri mættinum).Allt of margir sjá bara það slæma sem þeir hafa fengið í lífinu einblína á það í staðin fyrir að sjá allt það góða sem það hefur.En það skilja ekki allir hvernig lífið virkar, á einhvern hátt halda þeir að lífið sé bara dans á rósum og ef það reynist ekki sannleikurinn þá er guð eða æðri máttur ekki til af því þeirra hugmynd af æðra mætti er röng .Það er bara mín skoðun . 'Eg hef tekið eftir því að þeir sem trúa ekki eru svo reiðir einstaklingar .reiðir út í allt og alla og það liggur við að þeir springi ef það er minnst á æðri mátt .Hvaðan kemur þessi reiði ?

ef þeir trúa ekki á æðri mátt afhverju þá þessi reiði?

má fólk ekki trúa því sem það vill án þess að aðrir verði reiðir yfir því ?

Gleðileg jól  

Minn aðfangadagur var fínn ,reyndar fyrir utan það að ég eldaði alveg hræðilega hnetusteik ég á það til að fara ekkki alveg eftir uppskriftum og setja alltaf meira af sumu sem mér finnst gott ,td eins og hnetum og þannig eyðilegg ég oftast matin sem ég geri eða hann verður alveg pottþétt óætur .'Eg hefði kannski átt að sleppa því á aðfangadag það hefði alveg verið sniðugt, þá hefði ég ekki endað uppi ein með risa hnetusteik .Reyndar voru hinir með hamborgarahrygg fyrir sig þannig það var allt í góðu.

Gaman að vakna þegar það er svona fallegt veður úti,allt í snjó voða jólalegt , sonurinn vill endilega fara út á snjóþotu  ég man hvað mér fannst gaman þegar það snjóaði mikið þegar ég var minni ,ekki það að mér finnist það eitthvað leiðinlegt núna bara ekki eins spennandi jæja þá verð ég  að fara dúða mig út í snjóinn gaman gaman

Question:

It is grief I would like you to talk on some more. I have “Even the Sun Will Die” and get it about form, just having lost 3 family members. Even when watching my mind, and feeling some peace, tears just come like a tidal wave.  Then there is a hole, I sit with it, but all the spiritual teaching in the world does not seem to allow relief from grief. It is as if as a human form you have only one way and that is through; I noticed feelings of guilt for the feelings, but even surrender doesn’t seem to help...   for want of trying to communicate my question much is lost... Grief seems separate to me, from all other emotions we experience and can have some effect on anger, self pity ect.?

Answer:
If you surrender to what you are feeling (and not feed the feeling with your thoughts, with stories), grief will burn up the ego and then show you its other face, which is peace or even joy.  Joy is the dynamic aspect of peace.  But don’t expect to obtain anything through surrender.
You say, “even surrender doesn’t seem to help”.  As long as surrender is a means to an end (help, relief etc.), it is not complete surrender.  There is an expectation.  In true surrender, you ask for nothing, expect nothing.  You simply embrace what is.  Another way of putting it: you suffer consciously.  Blessings on your journey.

Question:

I have been wanting to ask you this for months- What are your thoughts on the New Testament? It appears that you believe certain parts were add-ons, or apart from the essence of the teaching. Are there any parts in particular? And why?

Answer:
The New Testament contains deep spiritual truth as well as distortions.  Those distortions are of two kinds.  Some are due to a misunderstanding of Jesus’ teaching, others arose because people had an agenda (wanting to fit Jesus into their preconceived notions, wanting to make converts etc.).  At some point, if there is another book, I may write about this in more detail.  But you can find all this out for yourself.  When you are present, you access your inner knowing and you will sense what is true and what was added on or distorted.

Question:

If you only live in the now, what would stop someone who is in a relationship or marriage from resisting the temptation to have sex with anyone who is attractive but who is not his/her partner?  After all, if you are in the now and see someone attractive, you want to have sex with them now?

Answer:
Does living in the Now mean giving in to every impulse that arises?  Then all those people who chase one sexual partner after another must be enlightened.

.

 

As long as you want something from another (such as sex), are you present?  Or are you seeking to reach some point in the future that promises fulfillment?  (And thereby making the present moment as well as the other person into a means to an end.)  All wanting implies that the future is more desirable than the present, does it not?

.

It is inevitable that physical attraction towards another person will sometimes occur.  That’s no more than part of nature.  When you identify with that impulse, it becomes “you” and turns into wanting.  The other person then becomes a means to an end – the end being sex, the attainment of the object of your desire. When you are present, you can observe the attraction or the sexual feeling within yourself, recognize it as natural, accept it, even enjoy it without needing to act it out.  After all, it may be totally inappropriate to do so within the totality of the situation.  When you recognize yourself as the space of consciousness in which the impulse arises, you don’t become the impulse; you don’t lose yourself in it.  Being present is being the space, rather than what happens.

Question: 

What do we experience when we connect with our real self?  How does that experience change the way we live our own life?

Answer: 
You no longer create suffering for yourself.  Anger, resentment, regret, grievances, anxiety, guilt, etc, which are all inseparable from the egoic state of consciousness, no longer arise.  And when you no longer create suffering for yourself, you no longer create suffering for others.  You have deep empathy, not only with other human beings, but also with nature and all life forms.  You see all life forms as manifestations of the one formless and eternal Life, which is what you are in essence, and you can sense that essence not only in yourself, but in all beings.  In other words, everywhere you encounter yourself.

Sri Chinmoy: Being a spiritual man, I must say that there is only one religion. You call it Christianity, I call it Hinduism, somebody calls it Judaism and somebody else calls it Islam. But there is only one religion. So when there is one religion, there cannot be nearness or distance.
